Each book within the Early Years Writing Skills series is divided into 6 or 7 themes each of which will help pupils’ writing skills through a range of activities to aid the development of motor skills and lay the foundation for handwriting practice.

Themes aligned across Early Years Reading Skills as well as Early Years Numeracy Skills.
Progression aligned across Early Years Reading Skills as well as Early Years Numeracy Skills.
While recommended to be used with Early Years Reading Skills and Early Years Numeracy Skills, these books can also be used independently to effectively develop writing skills.

Early Year Reading Skills, Early Year Writing Skills and Early Years Numeracy Skills are supported by a set of comprehensive Teacher’s Resource Books. These Teacher Resource Books are integrated across all three components - Early Years Reading Skills, Early Years Writing Skills and Early Year Numeracy Skills - to assist teachers in maximizing the integrated nature of the series. The Teacher’s Resource Books highlight the scope and sequence of the series and provide clear and concise guidance relating to technical aspects of the material. Detailed weekly lesson plans are also provided to further assist the teaching of the materials.
